Barry Manilow came to Nashville and All I got was this vLog

People. Barry freaking Manilow happened this weekend. Ooohhmmmeeegggaaawwwddd!!!!

So here's the scoop. Now if you know me, you know I love me some Barry Manilow. Yes, it's probably weird but I love him, since I know like 5 words from his songs but I just love him. He's awesome. My mother in law and I always talked about how we wanted to go to Vegas and see him but we never got to go and do that. When I heard he was coming to Nashville I thought there was no way I was paying that crazy amount of money to see him, especially because it would be a waste of good money to see him just for what I imagined would be awkwardness. BUT about a week and a half ago Ticketmaster opened up some tickets to see Barry Manilow for $9.99 a ticket. Did you hear that? And the seats... they weren't up at the top. They were in the first sections, not ground level but in that court-side seating-ish. So I called up my mother in law and bought those suckers up. So yeah. We saw Barry Manilow last Saturday. And all I can say is that it was interestingly AWESOME!! I even made a video for you to explain. From the random old man crotch shots and the weird dancing. All of it. WAS. AWESOME!  So look below for my video. Oh and pictures too.

*Side note: I work at Express part-time, which is why you will find that 70% of my wardrobe (especially jeans) come from there. I don't wear their clothes because I get a discount. I work there so I can get their clothes with my discount. I've worked there off and on for 6 years because I've always shopped there. I know I don't need to explain but I just like to keep it real with my readers. :)

Then he showed us some album covers.

Then he changed to a fancy jacket.

Then this guy pretend to be an orchestra leader dude (he wasn't one)

So yeah. It was fun! I have a ton of other photos but I didn't want to get you too excited from the awesomeness that it was. Oh wait. I should also note that Barry sang one of his songs while one of his backup singers rapped in between sections. Yep. That also happened. I didn't get to record that because I didn't think about it between my laughing. Who raps to Barry Manilow? Who? HA!

My Week in iPadography

Over in the blog reading world... AKA Blogs I stalk on Bloglovin... I saw a feature that I thought was pretty neat. My week in iPhoneography. Well peoples... I don't have an iPhone but I DOOO have an iPad which is sorta the same thing but bigger and won't call people. So today's new feature is called:

Davey sent me photos of the kitties that I then posted on Instagram to pretend that I was with them.

The baby brother kitty socked me square in the face. ha!

Then the big brother kitty helped me check twitter.

Aww Man this was fun re-living last week again.

P.S. One of my other Favorite Blogs, Lesley from Recipe for Crazy is having a giveaway on her blog. She just opened up her new Etsy shop with awesome and amazing prints. I can't wait to buy one. I've already found the perfect spot for one of them.  I have a frame that sits on my shelves above my couch, it currently is holding a Christmas themed print in it, that I'd love to put the Love print in and then add some photos of Hubs and my photo shoot next to it. Oh man. I'm already planning it! P.S. to my P.S. A portion of the proceeds from the Love print goes to Love146 which is totally awesome! So go enter her giveaway or buy a print, or do both cause that's cool!

(oh and for full disclosure, I AM entering a contest by posting this BUT I am totally not planning on actually winning, resulting in me purchasing the LOVE print for my house, plus I totally only enter contest for things that I want and know are rad, which this is)

Yum! Food Truck Foods and Cupcake lovin

I don't really have a blog post to write today. Just wanted to tell you that I ate some AWESOME food today. I'll share better pics later but for now. I give you my morning of food.

That one time we ate Grilled Cheese sandwiches

FACT: My most favorite sandwich is a grilled cheese sandwich (or swamich as Krista and I used to call it when we were younger... and by younger I mean we were 16 and 17). Its just the greatest thing EVER! I realize you think it's easy to make one but its not. I mean in theory it is, but you can get the wrong bread, yucky cheese, and too much butter.

Well... Last month, while I was on my cheat month from my diet, hubs and I cruised on over to The Grilled Cheeserie. If you don't know what that is then you are just sooo out of the loop... ok... maybe you're not, maybe you're not from Nashville and in that case "HELLO from somewhere else!!!" Oh ya... on topic. So yes... THE FREAKING GRILLED CHEESERIE!!! They kill it EVERY time! We've been 3 times, I so wish it'd was more but only 3 times. The first time they were at Dave's work and I just happen to be meeting him for lunch that day when they showed up. It was in the summer and it felt like death and maybe waiting in line for a hot sandwich with hot tots wasn't my greatest idea but whatever. That time I got a regular ol' grilled cheese but with the most amazing bacon EVER!!!! I know. Soo plain Jane but it was awesome. My theory was to see if they could mess up a regular sandwich before trying a fancy one. Well it was awesome to say the least.  So last month we kept seeing them tweet and Facebook about their awesome Melt of the Moment.... The Huevos Rancheros Melt. OMG! It was too die for! The cheese, the beans, the avocado and the fried egg. Hot Dang! AMAZING! It was perfect. I am still thinking about it. So, like the good blogger I am... trying to be... I grabbed my camera and took photos and forced Dave to take photos of me.

The Grilled Cheeserie for the WIN!

Oh... I realize I didn't tell you about the other time we went. Dave went when I was sick and brought me the Melt of the Moment that day. It was last week, Friday the 13th and it was called The Sloppy Jason. I can't remember what was in it. I was REALLY sick, but I remember it being awesome and then I slept for 24 hours.

So... ya... hope you're hungry now!
