An Outfit a Day - Day 30

Day 30 Daily Fashion - "I sooo want to look cute today." I thought to myself while getting ready. But today was a total bust. I thought I looked cute but then when I got to work, looked in the mirror I saw a frumpy looking old lady in front of me. My original plan was to wear this dress that I asked for at my grandmothers funeral. There were few things that I took that day, a few pieces of jewelery (she had a knack for beautiful costume jewelery) and some china, but that dress, that dress was something I loved. I've worn it all of once but I spilled on it... like a lot, and then forgot to dry clean it. So last week I took it to get cleaned, only took me 5 years, and got it back on Monday. I wanted so badly to wear it today but honestly, I don't think the accessories I have would do it justice. Its not a fancy dress, but because it's my grandmothers I have this idea in my head of how I want to wear it, and what I have to wear with it is not what's been envisioned. So instead of that dress I just built you up about, I wore this casual and kinda frumpy outfit. I should have at least worn boots, but I didn't. And you don't get to see my shoes, cause they aren't as cute. :)

An Outfit a Day - Day 29

Day 29 Daily Fashion: People... its cold out here. Like 30 something degrees. I didn't even have my coat on for these photos. I wanted to cry. Enough complaining ok. So I saw this skirt online at H&M and knew when I went there for Black Friday that I HAD to find it. I've been wanting a pleated skirt for a while, but always forget when its actually time to buy clothes. So while at H&M I almost forgot AGAIN until I did my 2nd round of searching. They have it in Hot Pink but thats just a bit much for me, I'm loving this in gray. AND it was only $12.95, it was the only regular price thing I picked up.  So ya... Thats my outfit and my complaint about the weather. Tomorrow is my last outfit for the month. Hmm.... what am I going to wear. I should make it a good one.

Days 26, 27, and 28 Daily Fashion - So I'm way behind on my outfit blogging. Being busy has done it to me. Yesterday we decorated the house and by the time I remembered to take my photo it was 4:00 and super dark because of the rain. Ugh. So the photos are blurry. And on Sat it was so windy that I couldn't get a good photo so I used my camera and took it while at Target. hehe... And then today... Well today it was raining but I set up my Tripod and took my photo under a street overpass/bridge dealy by my work. I think they turned out ok.

An Outfit a Day - Day 25

Day 25 Daily Fashion: Today was Black Friday. It was insane. We were insane. I'll tell you all about it tomorrow. I'm exhausted. I've been up since 6:00 am yesterday morning, and only took 2 thirty minute naps between then and now (5:00 pm the next day). I'm about to order some food and hit the hay. But dang it if I didn't look cute today. Usually I dress like a bum on Black Friday but not this year. This year I had to dress cute cause I was going to be taking photos. :)  Ok all. I'm gonna keep it short today. I can't even focus long enough to write this. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and if you went out shopping I hope you got what you were looking for and then some, I know I did... oops. :)

An Outfit a Day - Day 24

Day 24 Daily Fashion - Gobble Gobble! I hope your Thanksgiving was a ton of fun! Our was!  I thought this outfit screamed "FALL, THANKSGIVING!!!!" so I wore it. Yes, I did wear it the entire time I crafted, but afterwards I changed into Guess jeans and my Victoria's Secret sweater (my most favoritist sweater ever). Oh and am I the only person who can't get their stupid patterned tights to stay straight? I can't be, right? Fine, I guess you all are perfect tights put-er on-ers. :)

So, it's 10:30 and I'm supposed to be taking my 2 hour nap before I get up at 11:00 pm to go to Best Buy... That has not yet happened. HA! I spent my day at the in-laws crafting (I'll post photos tomorrow or something), went to Jack in the Box, and now I'm sitting on my couch blogging while the Baby (Professor Edgar Mustardstiltskin the Third) sleeps on my lap. So cute! So yep. That's it. We're heading out of here in a few, heading to Best Buy for a game for Dave, Target for shirt for me, then the 3 hour drive to Atlanta for my favorite store H&M for both of us.  Hope your Thanksgiving was great and your BLACK FRIDAY is AWESOME!

An Outfit a Day - Day 23

Day 23 Daily Fashion - Today I spent my day with one of my Best Friends, Amanda (she has no blog so I can't link to her) and her super fantastical babe.  We crafted all day... When I say all day I mean ALL DAY... Well from 10-7 at least. I made some salt dough tags to put on Christmas gifts, took some photos of the babe and edited them, and then worked on loom knitting (and finishing) some leg warmers to go under my boots. We watched Elf, The Grinch (old school style), some weird version of A Christmas Carol, and the Music Channel on Traditional Christmas. It was a great day! Oh and this little visitor with me in the photos is Amanda's babe. I can't believe how big she is. Its nuts! I remember when she was just barely 5 days old and now... she's 2. She's the closest thing I have to a real kid of my own

Ok. I'm off to bed. I just finished baking some Pumpkin Pie Bites and I've gotta get up early to spray paint some glass vases for my craft day part 2. :)

An Outfit a Day - Day 22

Day 22 Daily Fashion - So at work we get to wear jeans... This news was effective last Wednesday. So today I decided to change up my attire and wear jeans with boots under my jeans. WHAAA!!! You didn't know I could do that, did you? It's ok. I'll wait while the surprise wears off. So ya, today's photo was fun. I went to lunch and to my car to get my camera and tripod and what do I do? I FALL STEPPING ONTO THE STREET!!!!! Who does that? WHO!!!? ME. Thats who. Seriously... I'm a major klutz. One day I will have the best balance, and I wont fall walking out of a bar - sober, and I wont fall while standing in place and the Wii wont ask me if I have balance issues. One day. I swear this will happen.

So peoples... Friends... blog readers... Enemies... what are you doing for Black Friday? Are you a nutso like me? I usually get to the mall around 3 or 4 and wait in line to get a free gift card, mine are usually valued at 10 bucks. Which to YOU might not be worth it, BUT to ME it totally is. I've done it every year that we've lived here in Tennessee, even when I had a nasty nasty cold, I sat there, with my newspaper in hand, getting everyone around me sick, and waited for my ten dollar mall gift card. But not this year! What!!?!! I'm changing it up. I'm about 95% sure that hubs and I might be trucking over to Atlanta to.shop.at.H&M. Now you think I'm really insane, don't ya. Why would someone be crazy enough to drive 3 hours to be at H&M before it opens? Well that's simple. Cause I like their clothes the mostest, they will be giving scratcher things, things will be cheap and there is a really cute coffee shop (Cafe Nineteen) in Atlantic Station and the coffee is good too. Oh and I need new jeans. Cause we get to wear them at work now and well.. none of mine fit since losing all that weight.  So anywho... What are you guys planning on for Black Friday?

P.S. those glasses aren't prescription. Not Yet at least. I think I'm going to take them to the eyeball doctor next month and have them put my old lady bifocals in them. Cause ya know, cool kids all wear bifocals.

An Outfit a Day - Day 21

Day 21 Daily Fashion - It's been raining it's been pouring but it stopped for a bit so I went out and got my photos done. I swear, I've learned so much about my remote and using it with my 85mm lens.  Seems to me that maybe to do full body shots that it cant catch the signal well. Oh well. I still got some great shots.

Don't you love that laughing face? I so wish it were true. I'm going to be real with you right now, blog friends (or enemies, I guess you could be), I was alone, taking my pictures, no one was around to make me laugh... except for myself. I am so hilarious that I made myself laugh hysterically. What causes this you ask? Well I make the craziest fake smile EVER and I know it, so right after I do it I start laughing cause I know how scary that smile looks. I promise to post said scary smile one day. Not today. Maybe at the end of this month I'll post the outtakes, cause there are lots!!

Hope you had a stupendous day today, mine was ok. I found out I DON'T need a route canal so thats what made it great! Yay! So I hope you had a great day today! (Edit. I realize that it says route like im driving on Route 44. Clearly this is a sign I miss cali and not my lack of intelligence)

An Outfit a Day - Day 20

Day 20 Daily Fashion - Just a quick post because I'm trying to clean the house in preparation for my Christmas decorating next week.  Today is the last day for Buy one Get one free holiday drinks at Starbucks. So that meant I had to actually get dressed and out of my jammies. Truth be told most Sunday's I'm usually wearing this jersey with PJ pants while I watch the game. Ok.. not my game (because I live in a city who has a sucky football team and I have to watch it by force because that is the only game they put on), but some form of football is on cause I'm that chick who watches football on purpose with my husband. So now I've got 2 tall skinny peppermint mocha's and I'm watching Aaron Rodgers rock and not being forced to watch the Titans... yet.

I was going to post my weekend wrap up but I'll wait till tomorrow so I can work on the house and stuff.

P.S. Its actually not cold enough for this scarf but it was comfy and cute and I've been wanting to wear it.

An Outfit a Day - Day 19

Day 19 Daily Outfit - Today was awesome and fun and Awesome... Did I say that already? No? Ha! Well today was great. I had a super awesome photo shoot with Will Vastine today. We went to Shelby Bottoms park and checked out some super rad spots that I'd never seen before. Actually. I've only been there a few times and I got lost on my way there. It can happen to anyone, I swear! ANYONE. Not just me. You hear that husband... NOT JUST ME!!!! Moving on. We went and had an amazing time. I can't wait to see the awesomness that we will get.

Afterwards, Dave and I went to run some errands but before we did that I forced invited him go with me to Percy Warner park to photograph my outfit of the day. It takes a lot less time when he comes along to photograph my outfits instead of my normal tripod and remote set-up I normally have going for me. It's great because I set everything up for him with my big camera and then he takes my photo. Much better option since he can get me to not seem so pose-y and more natural.

Anywho... Guess what I bought today. HOME ALONE! I'm so excited. But that's for another post. My weekend wrap up post. I actually did things this weekend so I wanna write a whole blog post about.  Okie Dokie. I'm done for now. Gonna go eat some Lemon cake. Today is my final "Cheat Meal Week" day, tomorrow I'm back on my program. No more cheat meals and boring food... You know, like chicken and broccoli. Soo very exciting. :)

An Outfit a Day - Day 18

Day 18 Daily Fashion - So after yesterday's No Battery disaster I went back and took my photo at the same location. Its a pretty location with gorgeous lighting! Tonight was a busy night. AND I still have no idea what I'm going to wear in my photo shoot tomorrow. Eeeccckkk!!!

An Outfit a Day - Day 17

Day 17 Daily Fashion - So I've been eyeing this location for a while. Everyday after work I drive by this little area and think "Man I really want to go over there and do my outfit photo". The lighting always looks so nice and pretty. So today I did it. I got everything all set up. Parked illegally in the "Hey you better be seriously wanting to buy one of these units and not just taking pictures" parking spots. Okay maybe the spots are for the condo unit information centers and technically not illegal. Shh... It made me seem way cooler and rebellious. Ok... Back to my story. I parked. Grabbed my camera bag. Set up the Tripod. Took 1 test shot to see my light, then took 5 others to check where I should stand and BAM!!!! The battery died. Are you serious? And I don't have an extra battery with me. AND I can't even see if I got any good ones. What?!? Needless to say I rushed home to force Dave into taking my photo if I needed it. But I found my other battery to be 2 seconds from dying. So I had no choice but to love these photos. Which I kinda do. I kinda love them, even though you clearly see me pointing my remote at the camera. Its ok. Tomorrow I plan on going back there and doing my photos. BUT I will have a full battery. I know this because it is currently sitting in the charger... getting charged... so I can take photos tomorrow.

By the way... This Saturday we're getting our photos taken by the amazing and super talented Will Vastine. I can't wait to share. But this brings me to my problem... What the heck do I wear? I have no clue. Maybe I'll re-wear yesterdays outfit. Maybe I wont. I don't know. I need to figure it out pretty quickly though. Wish us luck because this will be the first time hubs and I have gotten nice photos taken of us. Hopefully it wont be the last.... but we will see. :) I'm kinda stressing him out.

An Outfit a Day - Day 16

Day 16 - Its been raining around here over the past few days. So that means I've got get creative in taking my photos.  Today's photo was taken with my super rad tripod in front of our condo in our breezeway. So now I'm totally certain that my neighbors think I'm insane. Thats fine. I'm getting fun photos.

An Outfit a Day - Day 15

Day 15- Wait... What... I'm halfway done. No way! This is so much fun. Well today's outfit is in honor of the Predators. Tonight we're going to one of their games and rather than wear a jersey (my normal go to) I opted for wearing their colors. Go Team Go! See I like Sports (no really I do, that was just me being funny... to myself). So yep. That's today's outfit. People keep staring at me while I set my camera up and use my remote. One guy asked what I was doing and why, then another guy told me not to take his picture... something about the witness protection program. I think he was lying. I didn't care. I didn't want his silly photo anyway. That sounds mean, and it would be, if it wasn't true.

Oh outfit details, because I wanna give them and you wanna hear them... and if you don't then you can keep on scrolling. Hehe....  Sweater - Target (forever ago), Stripped Shirt - H&M (also forever ago), Skirt - Banana Republic (this is crazy old because I bought it when I was super skinny), Tights - Target, Boots - Target, Belt - Target (but swiped from a dress that I bought there, I love when belts come with dresses, so many options)

An Outfit a Day - Day 14

 

Day 14- Do you ever have one of those days where you think you look super cute... like even when you look in the mirror but when you try to photograph it for some reason its not as cute as you think it was? No... Me either. Ha... Well thats today. Today is one of those days where I feel fat. I don't think I look like it, but I sure as heck feel like it. 

I don't know if I should tell you where I got things but heck... why not.

An Outfit a Day - Day 13

 Day 13- Today was filled with some crazy wind. It was insane. I was amazed at how crazy it was. Originally my plan was to try and take my photo at the Ellington Ag Center since I was already going to be there photographing my wonderful friend and her family.Well the wind was NUTSO afterwards so I opted to try and do it at home. I did it. Took me a little while. I learned that my remote has a hard time syncing to my camera when its super busy. Also, my camera had a hard time focusing because of the wind. I'm not really sure if any of this is true but I choose to believe so. :)  Anyway... I thought I'd share a few of my windy out-takes. There were more but they were mostly just out of focus. Those are quite as fun to share. 

Guess what else happened today? Today I used my freebie card for Starbucks. I love my Gold Card! Makes me so happy to get 15 stars and then get a freebie drink. I get to get whatever I want. Whatever size I want. Whatever extras I want. I decided today was the day. I'm off my program starting yesterday so I've been cheating a bit and today is kinda my last day of cheating. So I got a Venti Skinny Peppermint Mocha. Tastes so good but not as bad as it could be.  I thought it'd be nice to document that as my "accessory" in my photo. :)

An Outfit a Day - Day 12

Day 12 - So today Dave and I were gone a lot today. Up early with the new baby kitty. Out grocery shopping in the morning. Then the Professor went to his first Vet apt to get his rabies shot, so you'll be happy to know that if he bites you that you wont get rabies, you're welcome.  Then came home. Then went out with Dave's mom and got our crafty supplies from Michael's. Now we are prepared for Christmas crafting on Thanksgiving. I can't wait. We're going to make this, this and these. Maybe even these too if we can get to the oven. Then we went to dinner then FINALLY home. Now I'm getting my outfit photos up. Yay! And its gonna be bed time.  Look at that hair. What the hey! It's insane. It was windy... and I'd been sitting on our couch with a nice warm blanket wrapped up around me. Also, don't you just love my "Thriller" jacket? I sure do. Makes me happy!!!

Ok. Off to bed I go. Yes, I'm old and I go to bed early. What?!? I love it! hehe

An Outfit a Day - Day 11

Day 11 - So I thought I totally hated these photos when I took them... BUT.... Now that I look at them I kinda love them. This really is my most favorite dress that I've recently bought. Best $24 I ever spent at H&M. Its really funny because I couldn't figure out how I wanted to wear it but now... now I want to wear it EVERYDAY!!!!!

Hope you all had a great Veterans day and 11/11/11. We sure did. We got a new friend to play with Pickles. I'll give you more details later. :)

An Outfit a Day - Day 10

Day 10 - Random things that I noticed or happened to me while trying to take this photo today on my lunch. It was really cold AND windy at noon today. There was a guy who didn't know how to pay a parking meter and asked me about it. I had to move a giant beer bottle that was half way in a brown bag that I think a homeless person had drank. I quickly used disinfectant to remove said homeless mans germs from my hands. And the worst thing was when I found a nasty nasty used lady feminine product about 2 feet from where I had my camera bag. RAD.

P.S. These are leggings which I love for 2 reasons. 1. the keep me much warmer than tights. 2. I'm never worried I'm going to put a hole in them when I'm wearing them like I do when I wear tights.

Day 9 - I was originally planning to wear this at our photoshoot this weekend but after looking at these photos I've decided not to. I like the outfit. Actually I LOVE IT but just not for photos.
