Tights and Leggings... And Sass... Oh My!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of No nonsense. All opinions are 100% mine. No nonsense tights and leggings can be found at food and drug stores as well as mass retail stores.

I'm one of those gals who has multiple personalities when it comes to my wardrobe. I'm hippie chic and fancy schmancy. The one thing that combines my style is my love for leggings and tights.  This is super important during the winter... and especially the fall because right now Nashville is like my wardrobe with its multiple personalities. I swear... it just cant make up its mind... Hot or Cold.  Its crazy.

Sweater: Gap, Tank: Nordstroms, Cami: Express, Leggings C/O No nonsense, Boots: Nordstroms, Scarf: Express, Earrings: Express, Watch Charming Charlie

So I've been looking for options... cause people... I need options. I like clothes... a lot... and I was trying to find ways to wear my summer attire and make it more Fall friendly. I have denim leggings but I wanted to try something else.  I was given a super fun opportunity to try out these No nonsense leggings (and tights but we'll get to them in a sec) and I have to say for the price and the comfortablity (I think I just made up a word - I did spell check and it says its wrong) these are great!

Dress: J Crew, Belt: Express, Tights: c/o No nonsense, Pumps: BCBG, Head Band: Etsy

Now lets get to these tights. I'm always looking for ways to spruce up my basic black dress, so I look super cute and of course... work appropriate. These totally made my day. When I saw them I squealed with delight. "Woop! I'm gonna look adorable!!!" And BOY DO I!!!  The other thing... and I know you "fuller" ladies can feel me... Tights that stretch AND have a pattern can look a little stretched out where you cant make out the pattern. Not these. I was really concerned at first... but then I put them on and had no fear. I was looking great. Feeling great. And ready to go out... to work... cause I'm a grown up and I have to go to work... but at least I look sassy. ;)

Weekly Wears | Just because I can edition

Stephanie Drummond, Fact this blog is awesome, outfit of the day, photo of the day, girl, pretty, me, happy, smile, flowers, Lily White, Nordstrom, Express, Jeans, Belt, Boots, Corso Como, Coastal Contact
Top: Lily White, Cami: in Cream Express, Belt: The Loft, Jeans: Express, Boots: Corso Como, Jewelry: Express, Glasses: Coastal Contact
Don't change the channel. You're not seeing things. I do in fact own this outfit in 2 different colors. If you read my Barry Manilow concert post, you probably noticed that this outfit looks familiar. Thats because I really liked the way this top fit so I bought it in 2 colors, changed the cami color and the boots and BAM! I had a new outfit. I can't decide which one I like better. The muted colors in this or the brighter in the other. I don't care. Either way. I like them both.

I'm back to posting outfit posts again. I'm a big fan of dressing for fall weather and I'm tired of summer. So I've decided to start wearing my boots and sweaters and I just don't care that its 90+ degrees outside. We've had summer weather since March and it's time to switch it up. Technically its August which just sounds like a Fall month so I'm going with it. You should too.

Emma Stone Spiderman Hotness Hair

P.S. Do you like my hair? I'm working on going SUPER blonde on the top, like Emma Stone in Spiderman blonde (see photo above). I'm keeping the red underneath but I want that blonde PLATINUM! Woot! Woot! So in a few weeks when I go back, hopefully we can get the last bit of yellow out. Fingers crossed people, Fingers crossed.

P.P.S. Did you notice that little tattoo on my left arm. Yep. I love it. I'm gonna get a few other photos of it before I share it totally on here and explain the meaning behind it. But I'm in love!

Look at that fancy smile as I stare off into the sky.

*Side note: I work at Express part-time, which is why you will find that 70% of my wardrobe (especially jeans) come from there. I don't wear their clothes because I get a discount. I work there so I can get their clothes with my discount. I've worked there off and on for 6 years because I've always shopped there. I know I don't need to explain but I just like to keep it real with my readers. :)

Can we just take a moment to stop and stare at this gorgeous Kate Spade Dress that I will never own? It's gorgeous. Makes me wanna spin around in and pretend that I should be having tea and crumpets.

P.S. Before spell check corrected me I had spelled it as tea and crumpits. Oh goodness!

Here's your one chance Fancy. Don't let me down!!

We're getting fancy here on the blog today.  After watching the Golden Globes a few weeks ago I wrote a review of the outfits but thought "HEY when the Oscars come around you should write a what I would wear if I went to the Oscar's post"! So here I am... writing a super fun blog post about what I would want to wear. I scoured the internet and found that PERFECT outfit for me.  I find myself fairly fashionable, but honestly, this was hard. Now I know why I wouldn't want to be Rachel Zoe making all those fancy stylist decisions.
alice + olivia dress // tacori earrings // jimmy choo shoes // hair and makeup
Pin It
I'm MAJORLY loving this dress. Its from the new Alice + Olivia line and its pretty AMAZING!!!! Makes me want to get all girlified and dress cute. Wait. I didn't put a handbag. Eh.... who uses those little things anyway.

Anywho... I'm off. Have a super majorly fabulous day today!

Window shopping online at Lulus.com

So a few weeks ago I saw one of my twitter friends, Robin, posting pictures while she was at Alt Summit (which I'm totally planning on going to next year), wearing some super cute and adorable dresses. So I tweeted her. Hey super rad friend, where did you get your dress? And her response? Lulus.com. I'd heard of them before, but I don't really consider myself to be a junior so I never really paid attention to anything but shoes (they have adorable shoes btw). So I went to their site that night and fell in LOOOOVE with all of their dresses and blouses. I loved them all! I told myself that night I wanted to post about it soon. So here I am. I actually had planned to do 2 outfits, but honestly... I'm tired... so one outfit it is!!!

Fancy Freckles Red Polka Dot Dress, Lemon Meringue Pie Yellow Clutch, Tabbisocks Funky Chunky Navy Blue Knee Socks
Michael Antonio Solange Cognac High Heel Boots, Floating By Feather Hoop Earrings, All in the Twist Bangle Set, Through Hoops Gold Necklace // All items available at Lulus.com

I'm majorly loving the shorter flowy dresses paired with bright colors, shorter boots and gold jewelery. Who am I kidding, I only wear gold jewelry, silver washes me out.

So there you have it. An outfit that I wished I owned and would like to wear out to dinner with friends.

Oh hey... By The Way. I am on twitter. Do you wanna follow me and be a twitter friend too? You can do that here

xo, Steph

P.S. This isn't a sponsored post. I just really like this outfit and wanted to share it with all of you friends. But if you want to share this with my husband maybe he will buy it for me and then it will become a sponsored post from him. ha! I don't know, maybe? hehe..

I was once a Nurse... Not really

I haven't done one of these outfit posts in a while... like a whole month!!!  I'm hoping that I'll do a daily outfit post in April or May.  Probably April, so maybe a Spring Daily Outfit Post. What!! What!!  But if you want to see what I wore for the entire month of November check it out here!

Today it felt like Spring. It's strange. Our weather keeps changing. I'm not going to complain because I'd rather have 50+ degree weather over having 20 degree weather any day. But I am just hoping and praying that it wont push our winter and make it FUHREEZZIINNGGG in April and May. I might cry... in public! Anywho... I felt springy today. All I wanted to wear was my skinny jeans and flats. And my tank that looks like a Nurse's Scrubs, not the Daffy Duck kind, like the generic weird shaped kind.

I like these photos because they show how awkward I am as well as how dorky I can be. Which I think makes the perfect recipe for AWESOME. I don't actually think that but that sounds cool, right? Maybe... just a little bit?  I also like how you can see my bifocal line. I realize it makes me seem a little goofy because I'm so young and I wear bifocals but it's all cool, y'all. I'm accepting that I'm getting older with bad eyes and all. :)

Ok. So here you go. I give you... ME!!! But not in a weird pervy way.

Some witty title about Window Shopping and Nordstroms

Oh snap. I wanna go shopping. Like a lot. After Christmas has come and gone I'm still in shopping mode.

So.... I can't buy anything... BUT what I can do is pretend shop. So thats what I've been doing. The other day I went to our fancy shmancy Nordstrom's and window shopped. And took pictures. The girls didn't even tell me to stop. They were so nice. When I worked in clothing before I would have been all "Girl.... you better stop taking those photos" all while I wagged my finger in their face and finished it off with a "You better check yourself before you wreck yourself". I like that phrase, I say it to Dave all the time, and he tells me that I'm not cool. I choose to believe thats just him being jealous of my vintage phrases that are too cool for school.

I thought you might get a better idea of the items if I put the photo from the Nordstroms website next to my super fab cell phone photo. Not that I don't think my fab photo won't do it justice but just that you might get a better idea with the other photo with it. Also, I'm soo not a junior anymore. I realize this. But SOMETIMES I like to shop in that area... oh and Dave's men area is next to the Juniors area so I wander. :)

images via Nordstrom // Click on the photo and it will take you to their site so you can buy the fancy garment. Now I sound all fancy because I said garment.

So... thats all folks. More window shopping to come soon cause... well.. ya know... I'm kinda broke. :) I might get a part time job just to pay for my shopping wishes. :)

Oh Hello Golden Globes Recap 2012....

Fancy Meeting you here...

So since its my first year here in the blog world I thought I'd talk Golden Globes. I'm a big lover of fashion. I'm project runway all sorts of knowledgeable BUT I WAS the Fashion show coordinator in High School and I was accepted to FIDM. Did I go? No... but I got accepted and received the fastest acceptance that Dean had ever given (pretty sure I was there a total of 2 hours) Yep... BRAG BRAG BRAG. If only I had been able to afford it I might be a fashion buyer's assistant RIGHT NOW living in L.A. or New York... But I didn't go. Anywho.... I didn't get to see all the arrivals because we were watching the Football game and I was making dinner and what not. But I did go online and search and here are my Hits, Misses and WHAT?!?

Hits: So it appears that I'm a big fan of simplicity and simple colors and slim fitting dresses. I love love love the Heidi Klum dress. I realize its super simple but thats why I love it. It was just so clean, the cut was great and the jewels... well that make me feel like that one time Dave and I drove through New Mexico along our move here to Tennessee. Charlize looks AMAZING! At first I thought I could do without the floppy bow on her thigh but the more I look at it the more I love it! Selma Hayek looks like a current and super fab version of Cleopatra and I LOVE IT!

Misses: Let me start off with the red flag everyone sees. Yes that IS Angelina Jolie and Yes she is a miss. Why? I've seen her before... Isn't that the wax figurine I saw a Madame Tussauds? Sure looks like it to me. For real! Mary J. Blige, didn't I see you wear that same dress last year and the year before? I think so. Nicole Ritchie looks like she's wearing a piece of sheet metal. And Sarah Michelle Gellar... well she looks like a paint splattered tarp.

images via Hollywood Life and Just Jared

Elle MacPhersan... why must you look like a mermaid? Piper... WHY? WHY? And Zooey... we're almost best friends. And I don't think that I hate your dress by I'm confused by your hair... but your nails... little tuxedos.... I loved them. :)

Ok.... Thats it. Thats my recap. Hope you enjoyed my babbling! Oh and know that I would totally be sitting on the worst dressed list... I'm no Rachel Zoe.

25 Days of Christmas: Day 12: Wardrobe of AWESOMENESS!!

Here's my Holiday Fun time outfit. When I go to parties I have a habit of wearing black... or maroon... but this time. This Christmas I am wearing this bad boy... or girl out to parties. I haven't yet, so if you see me at a party and I'm wearing this don't make fun of me for wearing it again. I'm just one of those peoples... the kind that like to re-wear outfits. Oh and I totally wore this to work all day and I wanted to spin around like a five year old on Toddlers and Tiaras, not that I watch that show or anything. Oh and when I asked Dave how my outfit looked he told me I looked like I should be on Grease. I'm not sure if its a good thing or not but I'll take it. And now all I have in my head is the scene where Olivia Newton John says "Tell me about it... Stud". HA!

Jacket: Target (Black Friday Special), Dress: H&M, Belt: Goodwill, Tights: DKNY, Shoes: Marshalls

Ok. That's all.

An Outfit a Day - Day 30

Day 30 Daily Fashion - "I sooo want to look cute today." I thought to myself while getting ready. But today was a total bust. I thought I looked cute but then when I got to work, looked in the mirror I saw a frumpy looking old lady in front of me. My original plan was to wear this dress that I asked for at my grandmothers funeral. There were few things that I took that day, a few pieces of jewelery (she had a knack for beautiful costume jewelery) and some china, but that dress, that dress was something I loved. I've worn it all of once but I spilled on it... like a lot, and then forgot to dry clean it. So last week I took it to get cleaned, only took me 5 years, and got it back on Monday. I wanted so badly to wear it today but honestly, I don't think the accessories I have would do it justice. Its not a fancy dress, but because it's my grandmothers I have this idea in my head of how I want to wear it, and what I have to wear with it is not what's been envisioned. So instead of that dress I just built you up about, I wore this casual and kinda frumpy outfit. I should have at least worn boots, but I didn't. And you don't get to see my shoes, cause they aren't as cute. :)

Top: Express, Sweater: H&M, Jeans: Target, Shoes: Target (not shown, they're cute just not with this outfit)

So today is it, the last day of the month and the last Outfit of the Day. :)

An Outfit a Day - Day 29

Top: H&M, Skirt: H&M, Tights: Target, Shoes: BCBG
Day 29 Daily Fashion: People... its cold out here. Like 30 something degrees. I didn't even have my coat on for these photos. I wanted to cry. Enough complaining ok. So I saw this skirt online at H&M and knew when I went there for Black Friday that I HAD to find it. I've been wanting a pleated skirt for a while, but always forget when its actually time to buy clothes. So while at H&M I almost forgot AGAIN until I did my 2nd round of searching. They have it in Hot Pink but thats just a bit much for me, I'm loving this in gray. AND it was only $12.95, it was the only regular price thing I picked up.  So ya... Thats my outfit and my complaint about the weather. Tomorrow is my last outfit for the month. Hmm.... what am I going to wear. I should make it a good one.

An Outfit a Day - Days 26, 27 and 28

Day 26 - Jacket: Target, Dress: Macy's, Tights: Target, Boots: Target, Belts: Target and Forever 21
Day 27 - Sweater: H&M, Shirt: Express, Jeans: Target, Boots: Target
Day 28 - Jacket: Target, Blouse/Dress: Bouchique, Jeans: H&M, Boots: Target
I'm a dork. Oh and did you notice the new red in my under hair? I love it!!

Days 26, 27, and 28 Daily Fashion - So I'm way behind on my outfit blogging. Being busy has done it to me. Yesterday we decorated the house and by the time I remembered to take my photo it was 4:00 and super dark because of the rain. Ugh. So the photos are blurry. And on Sat it was so windy that I couldn't get a good photo so I used my camera and took it while at Target. hehe... And then today... Well today it was raining but I set up my Tripod and took my photo under a street overpass/bridge dealy by my work. I think they turned out ok.

Hope you all are having super great days!!!

An Outfit a Day - Day 25

Sweater: H&M, Blouse: Express, Jeans: H&M, Leg Warmers: I made them, Boots: DSW
Scarf: Dollar Tree (I think, it's old), Glasses: Target, Belt: Target (came from a dress)
Day 25 Daily Fashion: Today was Black Friday. It was insane. We were insane. I'll tell you all about it tomorrow. I'm exhausted. I've been up since 6:00 am yesterday morning, and only took 2 thirty minute naps between then and now (5:00 pm the next day). I'm about to order some food and hit the hay. But dang it if I didn't look cute today. Usually I dress like a bum on Black Friday but not this year. This year I had to dress cute cause I was going to be taking photos. :)  Ok all. I'm gonna keep it short today. I can't even focus long enough to write this. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and if you went out shopping I hope you got what you were looking for and then some, I know I did... oops. :)

An Outfit a Day - Day 24

Dress: H&M, Belt: Sports Chalet (from that time I decided to dress up as a softball player for Halloween)
Tights: Hue, Boots: DSW (my favorite boots that have clearly been loved lots and worn lots)

Day 24 Daily Fashion - Gobble Gobble! I hope your Thanksgiving was a ton of fun! Our was!  I thought this outfit screamed "FALL, THANKSGIVING!!!!" so I wore it. Yes, I did wear it the entire time I crafted, but afterwards I changed into Guess jeans and my Victoria's Secret sweater (my most favoritist sweater ever). Oh and am I the only person who can't get their stupid patterned tights to stay straight? I can't be, right? Fine, I guess you all are perfect tights put-er on-ers. :)

So, it's 10:30 and I'm supposed to be taking my 2 hour nap before I get up at 11:00 pm to go to Best Buy... That has not yet happened. HA! I spent my day at the in-laws crafting (I'll post photos tomorrow or something), went to Jack in the Box, and now I'm sitting on my couch blogging while the Baby (Professor Edgar Mustardstiltskin the Third) sleeps on my lap. So cute! So yep. That's it. We're heading out of here in a few, heading to Best Buy for a game for Dave, Target for shirt for me, then the 3 hour drive to Atlanta for my favorite store H&M for both of us.  Hope your Thanksgiving was great and your BLACK FRIDAY is AWESOME!

An Outfit a Day - Day 23

Scarf: Dollar Tree (seriously I think that's where I got it), Coat: Express, Tank: H&M, Jeans: H&M, Boots: Target
Day 23 Daily Fashion - Today I spent my day with one of my Best Friends, Amanda (she has no blog so I can't link to her) and her super fantastical babe.  We crafted all day... When I say all day I mean ALL DAY... Well from 10-7 at least. I made some salt dough tags to put on Christmas gifts, took some photos of the babe and edited them, and then worked on loom knitting (and finishing) some leg warmers to go under my boots. We watched Elf, The Grinch (old school style), some weird version of A Christmas Carol, and the Music Channel on Traditional Christmas. It was a great day! Oh and this little visitor with me in the photos is Amanda's babe. I can't believe how big she is. Its nuts! I remember when she was just barely 5 days old and now... she's 2. She's the closest thing I have to a real kid of my own

Ok. I'm off to bed. I just finished baking some Pumpkin Pie Bites and I've gotta get up early to spray paint some glass vases for my craft day part 2. :)

An Outfit a Day - Day 22

Glasses: Gift Shop in Vegas (under the stairs of the Del Taco), Top: Forever 21, Tank: Express, Jeans: Guess, Boots: Ross

Day 22 Daily Fashion - So at work we get to wear jeans... This news was effective last Wednesday. So today I decided to change up my attire and wear jeans with boots under my jeans. WHAAA!!! You didn't know I could do that, did you? It's ok. I'll wait while the surprise wears off. So ya, today's photo was fun. I went to lunch and to my car to get my camera and tripod and what do I do? I FALL STEPPING ONTO THE STREET!!!!! Who does that? WHO!!!? ME. Thats who. Seriously... I'm a major klutz. One day I will have the best balance, and I wont fall walking out of a bar - sober, and I wont fall while standing in place and the Wii wont ask me if I have balance issues. One day. I swear this will happen.

So peoples... Friends... blog readers... Enemies... what are you doing for Black Friday? Are you a nutso like me? I usually get to the mall around 3 or 4 and wait in line to get a free gift card, mine are usually valued at 10 bucks. Which to YOU might not be worth it, BUT to ME it totally is. I've done it every year that we've lived here in Tennessee, even when I had a nasty nasty cold, I sat there, with my newspaper in hand, getting everyone around me sick, and waited for my ten dollar mall gift card. But not this year! What!!?!! I'm changing it up. I'm about 95% sure that hubs and I might be trucking over to Atlanta to.shop.at.H&M. Now you think I'm really insane, don't ya. Why would someone be crazy enough to drive 3 hours to be at H&M before it opens? Well that's simple. Cause I like their clothes the mostest, they will be giving scratcher things, things will be cheap and there is a really cute coffee shop (Cafe Nineteen) in Atlantic Station and the coffee is good too. Oh and I need new jeans. Cause we get to wear them at work now and well.. none of mine fit since losing all that weight.  So anywho... What are you guys planning on for Black Friday?

xo, Steph

P.S. those glasses aren't prescription. Not Yet at least. I think I'm going to take them to the eyeball doctor next month and have them put my old lady bifocals in them. Cause ya know, cool kids all wear bifocals.
